SWOT and Network analyses

Rationale: “During the second year of the Network it is the objective to deepen the understanding of the relation and influences of hindering factors in ULLL research and professional practice – so to explore which barriers and constraints exist on which countries and HE-systems for which reasons. How are these factors structurally interwoven and embedded in the respective learning and research cultures? And which roles can local/regional/national/international networks play in this regard?  How do they and how could they influence mechanisms and dynamics of the respective LLL-research and practice agenda towards a real culture of DIALOGUE and collaboration?
(WP4 of the DIALOGUE proposal)

In order to investigate the questions formulated in the DIALOGUE proposal, partners are carrying out a SWOT and Network Analysis[1].

The results of the SWOT and Network Analyses are accessible according to the thematic working groups:

[1] While in a first step, a SWOT analysis will be carried out based on the findings of the case studies, these results will be generalised at regional or national level to explore the reasons behind existing constraints and solution to overcome them in cooperation between the two institutional project partners and relevant key actors in the ULLL field.

In order to know the key actors for the purposes of the DIALOGUE project, two further activity templates were designed for the Network Analysis. The aim of the Network Analysis is to map relevant LLL actors for the purpose of the project, to know how significant existing relationships with ULLL actors are for supporting the dialogue between ULLL researchers and practitioners and how influential identified actors/networks are in terms of dimensions like determining the LLL policy agenda and in terms of supporting dialogue between researchers and practitioners.
